Hey. I'm writing from Baba's hometown - Sandakan. I think I did mention that I'm heading here. But it was supposed to be tomorrow. Not today. Typical moves from my parents. Last minute changes of plan. What we think of it doesn't matter. They own us. We have to do whatever they decide. No objection.
Yeah, I know. I'm whining again. I'm a whiner. But you want to know something? The journey has been pleasant. Honestly. I swear. Although I slept half of the journey, but it really was pleasant.
We drove here. Or should I say, Baba drove us here. Before the journey start, we stopped by my late grandmother's grave.
It took around 4 hours to get here. Baba drove the Toyota Land Cruiser V8. I sat between the two of my brothers. And they didn't even try to tag team to torture me. Ha-ha.
My 2nd brother, ZZ has been a great driving companion to my dad. He talked almost all the way to Sandakan. He talked about everything that crossed his mind. Mostly on nature and politics. The rest of us butt into their conversation whenever we're awake. Yes, we were sleeping.
Anyway, it was great. Its been since our last road trip. And I guess I have forgotten what it felt like. Now I'm having second opinion on my own family. Maybe I was too harsh on judging them. Hm. For now, its bedtime.
Sweet Dreams.
