Bus Trip

|
As you may know, this week it's the first week of the final examination in UiTM and some other IPTAs. You'd expect the dramas that will be filling these weeks around the campus will be in some way related to the stress due to the examinations. I was wrong.

I was meeting my mom today for lunch, and to meet with the Campus' Deputy Director about the circumstances about my hair color. As usual, I waited for her at the Tangga Merah, which is nearer to my dorm room than the bus stop. After a short while, she arrived. As soon as I opened the door, her first word was "Bas kamu terbalik di depan." I was dumbfounded. And as she drove by the scene of the bus accident, which was between Tangga Merah and the junction to Cluster A & Cluster B. Indeed, the bus, not UiTM's, but T. U. T. (which stands for Tuaran Union Transportion) was toppled.

Here's some of the pictures.

I'm not sure about what actually happened. But by word of mouths, it is about the brakes dysfunctional. My theory is, the bus was heading up to the library. But due to the age of the vehicle itself, the engine couldn't handle going uphill and died. Unfortunately, the brake chose that precise moment to not cooperate. Since the road is curvy, the bus, which was going downhill in reverse, hit the sidewalk, and toppled to its side. Oh, before it toppled, it hit a few trees and a lamp post.

It is reported that no student was hurt. I'm not sure there were any students because it was on the way up to pick up the students. However, it is also said that one person was injured. I assume its the driver or the conductor.
