Freshman

I'm a freshman. Yes, I am. I'm a freshman, all over again. I'm no longer a newbie in UiTM, but I'm still a freshman. Back where I started. Will be doing the same thing all over again, only in different course, with different classmates.

I just came back from a meeting with the DPA seniors. Part 1-Part 6 meeting. It's a ritual here in UiTM, for the Part 6 students to held meeting with Part 1. I'm in Part 1, again. The Part 6 students have responsiblities on Part 1 students. Part 6, the students that will be graduating next semester, will guide the young ones. Help them with studies. Etc.

What I hate about being back in Part 1 is, going through the process of getting to know the seniors all over again. It's not like I refuse to know them. It's how, and what we have to get through to get to know them. They handed each one of us a list of their names, and ask all of us to get the signature of the names. If we don't get at least half of the list by the dateline, we'll be punished. Sound easy enough? Well, here's the trick, it's not their real name. Not even their nickname. Some of the name they put in the list are : "Mr White Body Whitening", "Katak di tepi Laut", "BIGATEMPIRE", "meow!". How the hell are we going to guess who's who.

Well, luckily I did it before. All I have to do, is find match one person to the correct nickname. Then, ask he or she to help me point me to another name. And continue doing so to the other person. However, there's always some corrupted seniors taking advantage of the situation. They'll ask for something in return. Such as, free lunch or dinner. Or have us do silly, embarassing things. I hate this part the most. I don't like being treated like a fool. They are abusing their power. Well, what I've learned in Political Science is, the subject will only gain power if the object let them. So, I won't be the object. They want respect and power? They have to gain it the right way from me. I'm not afraid of them, just because their bunch of seniors. What's the worst they can do, anyway?
