Title: Gaza Conflict: What does Israel wants from Palestine

I’ve received a link message from my friend last week, urging everyone to protest against Israel and do what we can to help the Palestinian in Gaza. The Muslims are asked to pray for the safety of our Muslims brothers there. Ever since I moved into the dorm, I haven’t been able to read the newspaper and keep up with the latest news of the world. I wasn’t surprised to see the Palestine-Israel conflict headlining in most major news agency. From the back of my mind, I simply know that this conflict is inevitable and will never end. No matter what UN and the rest of the world demand and try to do, Israel will never let go of Gaza. What are their motivations behind the attacks? I’m not sure, actually. Probably for the same reason why Bush wanted to conquer Iraq: fuel. But some says this is a fight between Jews and Muslim. Maybe it’s because of greed for power? Israel has been occupying in Palestine for as long as I can remember. And not even a veto country like America can do anything to stop it. Well, probably because they have too much interest to gain from it to do so.

` Unlike any other occupier, Israel has been treating the Palestinians like people in concentration camps, without giving them the same human rights and opportunity like the Israelis. So the question is why Israel doesn’t just Annex Palestine which is the desire for many Palestinians who want to get out of the circle of violence and humiliation? From what I read in the news all this years, I think Israel is afraid that the Palestinians may form majority winning election and running the country. Israel wants Palestine without the Palestinians. Although most Israelis want peace and are ready to live side by side with the Palestinians, most North American and European Jews feel that Israel need more land and must keep Palestine. In other words, Indicted War Criminal Ariel Sharon along with many North American and European Jews want Palestinians to leave Palestine out of fear for life and unbearable hardship. The occupied land is said to be very lucrative investment. The only problem is the unwanted Palestinians living there. The reason for so much death and destruction inflicted by Israel in Palestine is mere search for the virtual terrorists, who are the Palestinian freedom fighters. Under UN charter, Palestinians have every right to bear arms and defend their territory irrespective of how war criminal Sharon and the past US President, non-democratically installed, try to label them.

Israel is trying to play God by trying to eradicate all Palestinians. That is what is called ethnic cleansing or genocide. I don’t know what they teach in Judaism. But in most religions, this is murder. And murder is the biggest sins. No doubt the Jews are the most powerful people in the world nowadays, with most of the major corporations and companies are owned by them. They probably are doing this out of revenge for the holocaust in World War 2. But I thought it was the Nazis who did that to them. So, why don’t they plot their revenge on them, and let the Palestinians have their long-awaited peace at last.

God helps the wonderful people of the Palestine who gave the Jews their much needed home and Israel.

So, what do you think? I have to write it two page long, with double-spacing. I think its quite okay. It's my first political journal, after all.
