I first heard this song from Nanette's blog. But then, I didn't pay much attention to it, and only heard the first quarter of the song.

Today, during my drive back from campus, Hot.fm happened to play this song. Driving alone in a slow traffic, I gave the song the attention and observation it deserve.

Sure, the voice is not really that great. Pretty ordinary actually. But the lyrics is interesting. The melody is okay. I'm not really a fan of Malay songs, but this one is okay.

I like it. How about you?

7th Heaven

In my subconscious pursuit to distract myself from doing any actual studying for my paper today, I attempted to study in front of the TV with my laptop on the side.

Yes, I know.

So, Star World was showing re-runs of "7th Heaven". One of my favorite quote of this episode.

Simon: *grab the phone from Mr Campton to talk to Mary* You can't go out to dinner with Wilson. At least not without telling Robbie.

Mary: Ah! And who are you? *in sarcastic tone*

Simon: It's me, Simon.

Mary: No! I meant, who are you to tell me what to do.

Simon: *blurred* Simon.

I'm so gonna use this method when someone being sarcastic with me that way.

The new music video by Shakira is so hot, I still don't know what the song is about after watching it countless times.

To be honest, I think her video is kinda lame. It kinda remind me of Miley Cyrus' The Climb music video. And what's with the part where she "climb" on the cliff? But I like the song thou. She's always been my favorite R&B artist.

As I check out Youtube, I came across a comment saying Kelly Clarkson's "Already Gone" is similar to Beyonce's "Halo". I like both songs, so I decided to listen more intently and compare them.





So? What do you think?

Obviously, the lyrics are completely opposite. One marks the starting of a new love, the other is the ending. However, the melody does have a ring in it. Especially the chorus.

Okay, since my previous posts has been nothing but Youtube videos. I'll write about my week in this post.

So, I have my brothers back in my parents' house. Don't worry, it's just for Raya.

I never realised how much I missed them. (I'm sure they don't read my blog. Therefore I feel safe pointing this out.) Both of them being here brings back old memories. The kind of memories that made you chuckle or laugh out loud when you reminisce.

They can be annoying at times, but somehow I don't mind it. Really. I truly don't. Even when they hijack my stuff, made me do stuff, or got me in trouble with the parents. They're my brothers, and thats what brothers do - make their sister's life miserable.

Their little teasing and constant demanding make this big empty old house merry again. Sometimes, their subconcious actions brought smiles and laughter too, and they don't even realise it.

We all have our own egos. We all don't want to show our true emotions. But we all know that we care. Eventhough we try our very best to hide them. Yes, our "I-don't-care-what-you-do" attitude is actually what give us away.

One more sibling, and the equation will be complete.

Hurry home, sister! It's not the same without the true troublemaker.

The 10-days Raya break has begun.

Aqilah Zaiyanie will be A.W.O.L. for a few days to hibernate and replenish her energy which she had overused last weekend during Zombie Week.

Don't expect any updates these few days, unless something major occured.

Fanatic Much?

Check out the video on how Kanye West ruined Taylor Swift's moment.

It was her first Moonman, and he just HAD to do it. Spoilsport!



You can see how suprised, excited and happy Taylor was when Taylor announced she won the VMAs Best Female Video award. (Confusing isn't it? With two different Taylor in the same sentence. The latter is Taylor Lautner a.k.a. Jacob Black). Pink, who was nominated for the same category, was smiling delightfully for Taylor (Swift) too!

It was supposed to be a good day for Taylor Swift. Another speech on how she can't believe how lucky she is. Thanking everyone and make some witty comments at the same time. (Yeap, THAT similar Taylor Swift's speech.)

We forgot to count Kanye West in the equation. He's always a man of his own opinion. (HIS OWN. No one else willingly back him up, EVER.) And we never knew that he's a HUGE fan of Beyonce Knowles.

So, Kanye's being Kanye. He went up to the stage, took the mic off Taylor's hand and praise Beyonce in national (or should I say international) TV which airs live in the States. Well, at least Kanye did CONGRATULATED Taylor beforehand. (As if that'll make it up for the disaster.)

Then, it's Beyonce's turn to have the suprised look that was on Taylor's a minute before. Except, without the delight, of course. In fact, she looked appaled by Kanye's action.

After Kanye returned the mic to Taylor, you can see that the excitement has drained away. THANKS A LOT, KANYE! She's too, I can't even find the word to describe what Taylor could have felt at that moment, to say anything.

After the incident, celebrities start to show their support to Taylor Swift, and tell Kanye off for being out of line. (Of course, their exact words would be much more offensive, but you get the idea.)

Well, don't expect any statement from Beyonce. She's always been a private person, this won't be in her nature. Plus, Beyonce, Jay-Z and Kanye are friends. However, by the look on Beyonce's face, I'm pretty sure she'll handle the situation classily (as she always has been) and will be having a talk with Kanye in private.

Oh, afterward, Taylor still performed as scheduled being a professional that she is. (Take a note, Kanye.) I must say, she handled the situation well and rocked the performance. I would do my all too, if I were in her shoes, just to show that (fill in the blank) Kanye West that I deserve the award!

Anyway, on an unrelated note, i've pulled an allnighter tempting to understand my PAD160 - Principles of Management assignment.

Note: Tempting to understand.

Yes, I still haven't penned my part of the assignment yet. I would not admit defeat to plagiarism (yet!) eventhough the clock is ticking. However, I now have a clear view of what they're all about, so I should be able to write them. Especially when my inspiration starts to kick in, I would be typing non-stop.

A personal message to my PAD160 lecturer:

Dear Madam,

The reason why we never seems to pay attention to you in class is because your voice is so small, even mouse have difficulties to hear it. In addition, its boring. Oh, don't be a perv and favor the guys over us girls. They make more noise than us, and they sleeps in class!

P.S: Please, next time, give a CLEAR instruction on the assignments.

Yeah, I haven't heard this song in ages. This song was popular when I was still in kindergarden! But somehow it popped into my head during my financial accounting class. (The lecturer were distributing our test result, I passed, suprisingly) My mind couldn't focus to anything this week. And this week, FOCUS is what I absolutely NEED. My assignments are still no where near finishing, and the dateline isn't going to wait for me.

'Miley has a couple of new songs. Wait, is it a new album? Not sure, better check with Kim. After all, she IS her fan. LOL.

I found two on youtube. "When I Look at You" and "Obsessed". I was searching for Mariah Carey's "Obsessed", but saw hers. So I decided to check it out.



I found this one in the related video section when I watch the above video. I thought it was Miley Cyrus's version of Jonas Brothers' "When You Look Me In The Eyes". Its not. (D'uh!) But I think this is sort of a reply to JB's song. Nick penned that song, wasn't it? Celebrities. Not-so-subtle way of declaring their love.



They're both ballads. Is she no longer going to do pop music? Oh well. These two are nice. A bit too slow for my taste, but it is suitable for lovers out there.
