The vacation is over, I'm back in my hometown of Kota Kinabalu.
*long and deep sigh*
Don't get me wrong, I love Kota Kinabalu, I love Malaysia. I'm one of those people who can get a little defensive (okay, maybe sometimes a little TOO defensive) about the city I grew up in. You know, when some obnoxious Peninsular Malaysian start making rude and ignorant remarks about it. Or other foreigners. Like "Oh, Isn't Sabah the poorest state in Malaysia?". The worst of all, "Aren't Sabahans (or Borneons) live on trees?" and they were serious. I usually reply, "Yes, but it's the monsoon seasons, so we're not taking our chances with the weather, especially with the parabola on top of our house. So, during these time, we have to settle for the 2-story bungalow, instead. *grunt* Oh well, at least we could maintain the elevator and lifts in the treehouse in the mean time."
Still, I have to admit that I was reluctant to return here. You would to, if you were put in my shoes. It's the environment. It's a vacation: no responsibilities, no deadlines, no worries. Who, in the right state of mind, would want to end that?
Not me, of course! (Especially when there's dashing guys with charming accent and fine arse in the picture! Gosh, I miss them already!)
We reached Kota Kinabalu around midnight. After unpacking the massive loads of luggage, I pretty much passed on my bed till 6pm the next day. Yes, I was asleep for 18 hours. If my tummy didn't make so much noise, I'd probably still be asleep for another couple of hours. Jetlag.
That was 12 hours ago. I'm still awake since then, and its 6am now.
I'm turning nocturnal.

Last Minute Packing
I'm hopping on a plane tomorrow, but I only start to sort things out today.
Mom's going bezerk.
And I just realised, most of my winter clothes is pink. Darn it!
Going through the checklist all over again. But there's still too much stuff.
So far, 2 large luggage bags, 2 cabin bags. Did I mention they're all red? My bagpack is full of gadgets: laptop, MP3, GPS, DSLR.
Right now, I'm more worried about my Facebook apps: Farmville, Cafe World, YoVille and others.
Urgh.

Vanity at its best
No, I didn't meant myself.
Today is one of my usual good Sunday. Woke up around 10 in the morning, watch some TV show for a while before taking a long shower. Then, the usual Sunday lunch with mom. Today's Hyatt's turn to be blessed with our presence. The food was good, so was the people (both the employees and the hotel guests *wink*). Oh, forgot to mention that my aunt joined us too.
After a long fulfilling lunch, we went around town. Just wasting our time, checking out the development. What's new and all. We even went all the way to Kaison, Putatan. Afterward, we hang out for a bit at my aunt's place.
There, I called one of my friends, after all, I've been so busy with my own life that I didn't have time for them. We were talking for a while, catching up with everything we'd missed. Then, she mentioned something that got me laughing so hard, my mom could hear it all the way inside the house.
Apparently, someone think I care about their every actions and well-being. Well, at least the person is right about my feelings toward them - that I don't like them. That's true. But for me to tell my friend not to contact the person, just for that (and maybe influenced by another incident with another person I'm related to), that's just absurd, doesn't it?
I don't like the person to begin with. Why would I even bother about it then? Seriously, don't flatter yourself. I don't care. I don't care about you. I don't care what's going on with you. I don't care what happened between you and whoever you are in contact with. I don't care if my friend still contact you or not. I have better things to do, than bothering myself with your updates and problems. For instance, right now, my minds keep wandering to what clothes should I bring to my vacation.
Well, thank you for making my day. I thought I was paranoid. You're worse.
P.S.: Oh, I do care about one thing thou: That you took advantage of my friend's kindness.
P.P.S.: Wow! Writing this short post took me longer than I thought. Need to learn to focus. But this just doesn't seem to worth my focus.

Screaming from Within
I just came back from my aunt's place, which is just down the road from my house.
You can imagine how happy and excited I am right now. Words can't describe it. If I wasn't so paranoid and care too much what others think of me, I'd be hopping, swirling, ballet dancing in the rain under the barely there moonlight. Singing cheerily out of tune. Kissing and hugging possibly literally everything that's kissable or hug-able. Or if I'm a manga character, you'd possibly see my pupil unrealistically dilated and sparkly, and so happy and grateful that my eyes become teary.
Yes, I am THAT happy. Those kind of feelings doesn't come too often.
I'm promise I'll tell you what the fuss it about. LATER. Not in this post.

Perplexing Human Behavior
I once heard someone said that people is the hardest subject to study. And its true, because everyone is different in every way. And we can never be sure what to expect from people.
However, we can always predict their future behavior as people seems to follow specific patterns when it comes to certain things.
These couples of weeks, I've asked myself a few questions.
Why people tend to crumble and capable to do anything to save themselves in a sticky situation?
How could someone who grows up and further their studies in the same city experience culture shock?
Why people brags about the things they do (even when its not suppose to be proud of) and exploits others just to prove that they really know their stuff?
Why do people keep acting as if they're innocent as a white sheet when the truth is they're nastier than shit?

Oh, obviously, these questions rotate around the people around me. If they're reading this, and not notice, I have nothing more to say then. You can close this blog now, as this will be a long LONG post.
I understand that people will always think of themselves first before anything else. I do the same too. But to sell someone out in the process, while you're supposed to be in the mess together? I never force any of you into anything, you were willingly (and eagerly, I must add) signed the letter yourself. You had a choice. You read the letter. And when someone threaten you a bit, you backed out, one by one, in front of me. Fine, I can accept that. Its understandable. You heard every single word he said, as much as I do. So, its on your conscience, not mine. Because I stood my ground, especially when he started to get a little too personal and insulted OUR parents. Yes, our. Just remember, he used profanity to describe your parents, and you just show your back on your parents. Oh, and I know those tears and apologies were not sincere. Because I saw with my own two eyes, the expressions, the reactions on all of your faces as soon as you walk out that door. Seriously, do you feel any remorse? On anything? At all? And today, you didn't want to come and meet the person who probably can saves all of our asses from the bloody mess? Well, at least you shows up, even though you were half an hour late. This shows how much you actually care about the whole mess. And I thought you were better than this. Oh well, it doesn't matter what I think. As long as you're happy with the way you are.
I've asked myself, over and over and over again. How could someone experience culture shock if they've been in the culture all their lives? Imagine this situation, you live in Kota Kinabalu, which is not much of a city to begin with, then you further your studies in UiTM, which located outside the township (and in a pretty much secluded area), and suddenly, you're experiencing culture shock. How does that even possible? Oh, don't use your parents' relationship as an excuse. EVERYONE has a family problem. It's a matter of how you carry yourself. Your sisters are doing fine, and they're in a bigger, more seductive, city, while you're here, in a sleepy town. What is your excuse then? They experience the same thing as you do, and has more temptation in that metropolitan city, but they manage to resist it. How about you? The "Oh, my parents are divorced" thing is not a valid excuse. You're not alone. Your parents are not the only ones divorcing in this world. Statistic said 3 out of 4 marriage fails. Just be grateful it wasn't a nasty divorce, and your parents are still friends. Worst of all, you're all grown up when this happens. Oh, just a reminder, looks is nothing compared to a good heart. So, you're pretty. I admit. And you obviously knows it (as you said it out loud yourself). But that's not your ticket to go around playing other people's heart. Luring and deceiving them into falling for you. Yes, deceiving, as you were lying about yourself. Then, you left them high and dry (literally, or maybe you didn't) for their acquaintance. Your dream is to be pursued by guys. Okay, never mind, that's every girl's dream. You want them to fight for you. Sure, the situation looks so romantic in movies. The difference between you and the heroins in the movies is, you're doing this knowingly and enjoying every bits of the moments. You're taking advantage over the blindness of love, of people that actually care about you. You lie, you cheat, you stole, you hurt. How long are you going to keep up with this charade? The truth will eventually reveals itself. And when that happens, no one can help you.
Writing this just frustrate me a little more. (Okay, that's an understatement.) I'll continue to elaborate more on the last two questions in the next post.

Too Much
Have you ever gone through a feeling where everything come crashing down on you, without warning, without mercy, in a speed you'll never be able to keep up?
That's what I've been experiencing lately.
I thought it was just due to the event that took place in my life, followed by the mood-swings caused by hormones and menstrual cycle. (Yes, I'm aware that this might be a little too much information) However, its been a while, and I'm still feeling gloomy.
I definitely don't understand it. And I'm extremely annoyed with the fact that I'm easily annoyed with nonsense. (I just realized the irony after re-reading this.)
I'm complicated enough without these emotions tangled up in me.
It's not like I have a streak of bad lucks or occurrence going on. Sure, I wrecked the bumper of my parents' car. And was (or maybe still) having a feud with a lecturer. I also realized that acing my financial accounting course is a lost cause, I'd be lucky if I'm able to pass that course. Not forgetting that our final exam is just around the corner, and I'm not prepared AT ALL.
I have good things going too. My parents' reactions toward the damaged Mercedes-Benz is not what I expected. They took it well, too well actually. Sure, they are a bit frustrated, but they didn't scold, scream, lecture or take away my privileges (especially the Eurotrip). My friends are awesome too, they keep me entertained. They're cool with my moodswings and don't take it to heart when I annoy them a little too much.
Yet, I still feel ... I can't even find the word to describe it.
My vivid imagination doesn't help either, all they did were to make things more confusing and complicated. And my mind wanders a lot, at the most unappropriated time. Even when I'm driving, which is dangerous, as the drive from campus to my parents' house is approximately half an hour during off-peak and I like to drive fast. There has been quite a few times I almost drove off the road, once with mom on the passenger seat (you can bet that she freaked out and lectured me all the way home).
I'm in a phase where I feel like eating, constantly. However, I don't feel like having Yo-Yo's Peppermint Milky Tea with Pearl and Tuah Baker's bun. I want to get some pizza, but i no longer feels like ordering Pizza Hut's Hawaiian Chicken. This is also a rare case where cupcakes doesn't make things better. Little Italy's Fettuccine Carbonara doesn't seems so appetizing anymore too. There's not much choice left for a picky impulsive eater like I am.
Usually, at times like this, I'd either go to the beach or Signal Hill. Just sit there, and enjoy the view. But the weather doesn't allow me to do so, and I don't feel like being alone.
I don't want to go home; but I don't want to stay in campus either.
I don't want to be bothered; but I don't want to be alone.
I don't want to stay in my room; but I don't want to go out too.
I feel like crying; but I don't think I can force it out.
I want to sleep; but I'm not sleepy at all.
I call my friends out; but I don't feel like talking.
The weather is either too hot or its raining too heavily to do anything.
I don't want to be bothered; but I don't want to be alone.
I don't want to stay in my room; but I don't want to go out too.

I pull a brave face. Pretended nothing happened. But its all a lie. They didn't notice this at all. I'm starting to think I should be in the entertainment business, seeing how good an actress I am.
Either that, or I'm going mental.

Disaster Gone Wrong?
I wrecked my parents' Mercedes-Benz last night.
Just by going out of the driveway of my aunt's house. I hit the gate. Don't worry, there's no harm done to the gate.
But I can't say the same for the car.

I was expecting some outrage from my parents. You know, some screaming fits, yelling out "You're not allowed to drive for a month!" or "You won't get anymore allowance for 3 months!".
Well, on contrary, when I called my dad out to check out the damage I've done. He just said "Hmm. Bah. Kasi keluar dulu kereta ni." Then he went back inside to continue where he left off.
Then, I went back inside, feeling absolutely guilty and anxious to hear what my punishment(s) would be. I sit down quietly with them only to find out that they are talking about our Eurotrip this coming November-December. I was like, "Oh no! Are they going to cancel it? Am I going to be left behind?" (Note: My parents and I haven't bought our tickets)
I start to listen a little more intently to their conversation. Ignoring Zorro the kitten who's been trying to play with me. Apparently, they were talking about how to get to Paris, Switzerland, Prague etc. from London. My dad said we can drive or take a train. Then my uncle asked him, does this mean he's coming. (Note: My dad usually the one driving whenever they have a trip together) He said he's not since he has other plan. Then my mom turn to me and said "Well, Aqilah and Roxy can drive then, there's always GPS."
At that point, I didn't know what to think. Aren't they suppose to NOT let me drive after I crashed into a gate? I even pointed out to them that I did just so less than 10 minutes ago! (I know, what were I thinking pointing them out?) But Dad was like, "Meh. It was an accident."
You have no idea how relieved I was at that point.
This week has been a... I can't even find the right word. Let's just say it has been a hell of a week for me, okay? The weather has done a great deal of job to reflect my mood. The stormy night, the heavy rain, the cloudy sky, earthquake and tsunami. I feel a lot better after being off the hook from any punishment for totaling the front bumper. But the weather is still cloudy, so is my mood.
My poor friends. They have to endure my terrible mood. My witty jokes have been a lot meaner, and almost crossed the line where it says "evil". I've been a LOT more annoying. Been bugging them like crazy. Being cranky for nothing. Arguing a lot. You know, the sudden mood swing. (Kan Nana?) The darn flu I've been having is not helping either. It just make things worse than it already is. Not to mention I skipped yesterday's classes without a valid MC. (I don't feel like having an appointment with my doctor at this moment)
I wanted to end this. This is not good for myself nor the people around me. In order to do that, I must have some girls night out fun to drive these (emotions? sadness? feelings? anger? what?) away. And I can't do that being cooped up in the hostel nor the house.
Which is why, I can't wait for Unitar's Annual Dinner next weekend!
The question is, is this mood of mine going to last until the night come? I certainly hope not.

Eid Mubarak
Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all Muslims of the world.
It's only the second day of Raya (or known as Eid Mubarak to some part of the world), and Raya lasts for the whole month. So, I guess it's not too late to send my wishes.
Unlike last year (and the year before), this year all members of the family is in town to celebrate the first day of Aidilfitri together. There's nothing much I can write about Aidilfitri here, I won't even attempt to, as I won't be able to find the right words to describe everything, anyway. So, you just have to check out the photos I uploaded.

Oh, I would like to take the opportunity to invite you to our openhouse this year. It would be held at my family's home (hence the word 'openhouse') on 25th September 2009, Friday. Around 7pm onward.
Don't be shy, it's an openhouse, it's not like I can kick you out anyway.
Adorable without Trying
Noer
He's my 24 years old brother. The second child and first son of my parents. One of the tallest in the family, as he is almost 6-foot tall. A pretty much laid back person, who likes to stay at home, do his own thing and listen to his hardcore metal music. He's a quiet person, but very passionate in his interests.
We were talking over dinner (or shall I say breakfast?), and then we started talking about Noer and all the unplanned funny moments he did. We had quite a laugh.
So, I'm going to tell you some of the funny moments with Noer while he's in town for the holiday.
***
He hijacked my magenta room. Rested easily & comfortably on my pink bed while using my red vaio which he laid on my laptop stand.
For the WHOLE day. (He may have intended to sleep in too, if I didn't manage to get rid of him)
***
Mom: "Ko mau biar jak rambut ko camtu Noer?"
Noer: "Jadi? Macamana juga? sudah gini, gini la."
Mom: "Yea la, tapi macam..."
Noer: "Macam Korea!"
***
Mom was talking to Noer in the kitchen.
Note: They were both at each end of the room, and not facing each other.
Mom: "Noer, (talking about school)"
Noer: "Eh eh, suka betul dia ni main-main"
Mom: (thought he meant me and continue talking about school)
Noer: "Ee, manja juga dia ni tau."
Mom: (continue talking about school)
Noer: "Bising juga dia ni kan. Pegi main jauh sana. Jaga anak!"
Mom was shocked and confused. She looked at Noer, and realised he has been talking to the cat all this while.
***
Noer was on the stairs, putting up color lights in our front yard, when I saw a cat on the driveway. So, I said "Eh, kucing mana lagi nie?"
He immediately jumped off the stairs, and chase the cat down the driveway while yelling "kkuuccciinngg!!" and waving his hands in the air.
***
He randomly peek his head at the door of a room we're in and goes "CHAK!"
***
Yes, he received too much of the Chinese genes. Nevertheless, still my brother. Will update more in this post as the days go on.
Let's End This
Oh Gosh, I just checked my own blog. And realised that for the past numbers of posts, it has been a streak of Youtube music videos.
And cheesy, cheesy musics.
This have to end. Even I myself want to barf at my own blog.
I need a better taste in music.
Anyway, let's begin the ending of these cheesy songs with a real music.
Ah. Paramore. That's much better. Isn't it?
Okay, since my previous posts has been nothing but Youtube videos. I'll write about my week in this post.
So, I have my brothers back in my parents' house. Don't worry, it's just for Raya.
I never realised how much I missed them. (I'm sure they don't read my blog. Therefore I feel safe pointing this out.) Both of them being here brings back old memories. The kind of memories that made you chuckle or laugh out loud when you reminisce.
They can be annoying at times, but somehow I don't mind it. Really. I truly don't. Even when they hijack my stuff, made me do stuff, or got me in trouble with the parents. They're my brothers, and thats what brothers do - make their sister's life miserable.
Their little teasing and constant demanding make this big empty old house merry again. Sometimes, their subconcious actions brought smiles and laughter too, and they don't even realise it.
We all have our own egos. We all don't want to show our true emotions. But we all know that we care. Eventhough we try our very best to hide them. Yes, our "I-don't-care-what-you-do" attitude is actually what give us away.
One more sibling, and the equation will be complete.
Hurry home, sister! It's not the same without the true troublemaker.
A Paramore cover to notes the end of cheesy songs in my blog.
(Well, at least for these few weeks.)

Chippendales Dance
Try JibJab Sendables® eCards today!
THAT is definitely what I needed to cheer me up.
Do you recognize one of the Chippendales?
Yes, that's my brother!
Thanks to my brother's friend who posted this in Facebook, and tagged my brother who co-starred in it. And his girlfriend who pointed this out, and made sure I watch it.
I had quite a laugh.
Oh, he is going to be so pissed with me.
Never Ever
The 10-days Raya break has begun.
Aqilah Zaiyanie will be A.W.O.L. for a few days to hibernate and replenish her energy which she had overused last weekend during Zombie Week.
Don't expect any updates these few days, unless something major occured.
SecretZen
I'm an avid follower of PostSecret blog. Something about other people's sharing their deepest (sometimes darkest) secret anynomously to the world just attract me.
It soothes me to know that, we're not alone in this cruel, unfair world. Knowing that others too feel the same on certain things, others too make the similar choices and mistakes in life. That there's nothing with secrets.
However, the annoying part about PostSecret blog is, it updates only on Sunday.
Then, I stumble upon SecretZen's website.
And it is much better than PostSecret.
Firstly, SecretZen updates its photosecret EVERY 3 HOURS. Yes, every 3 hours. This is faster than MLIA! You can only imagine how many photosecrets they received in a day. Secondly, the images n wordings on the photosecrets are more dramatic and able to send the message by itself. Sometimes mysterious. You can only make assumptions what did the secretholder hid in his/her closet.
I can't elaborate any more. You just have to check it out yourself. Here's some of my favorite from the site.
P/S: Yaya, This is BETTER than PostSecret. Ch-ch-check it out now!
Nokia N97 vs. Samsung Jet
My birthday had passed. But the birthday present hasn't been decided yet.
I think I'll ask for a new phone. My brother suggested two models: Nokia N97 vs Samsung Jet.
I still can't decide. Both look pretty luring. Check out the Youtube videos of both model of mobile phones below.
Nokia N97
Samsung Jet
So, after seeing the videos, which do you think is better?
I can't decide. And I have to decide before the offer is over.

Today
I found out where I learn to procrastinate.
Like Mother; Like Daughter.
I figure I don't have to give examples of my laziness. They'll be too many to list down, and I'm to lazy to type down. How did I found this out? Well, my campus is in the same area as my mom's office. So, if I stay at home on weekdays, I'll carpool with her to go to class. Today, after I showered, I noticed Mom is still cozily asleep in bed. So, I nudged her and ask if she's going to work because we're going to be late. She gave me a sheepish smile and cheekily said "Malas. Nda mo. Nda mo. Nda mo. Adeq bawa la kereta" before she went back to sleep. Before I go, I asked again, and she rolled out her tongue and said "Bye!".
My ignorant behavior toward my campus life finally caught up with me.
Ignorance is bliss, NOT!
Well, I never really cared for what happening in my campus. For these 6 weeks of class, I've only slept in campus for a week. I don't participate in any college activity. I didn't even realise UiTM's Validation process was last week. Yes. Why? Because the day I decided to skip a whole day of class for a day of fun in the sun, is the day to validate my courses.I guess sunburned back is not my only punishment for ditching, I will now have to face possible consequences for this. I'm not sure, whether I'll be fine, or I'll be fined. Worse, I may have to drop few subjects. Worst, I may have to drop ALL subjects. Meaning? I'll have to postpone my studies for ANOTHER semester.
Obviously, I haven't fill my parents in on this. They didn't know I didn't attend my classes. I'll have to face this alone. Whatever the consequences is, I'll have to make up a different version for my parents. Oh God! Please give me a good news tomorrow! I promise I'll be good and excel this semester.
Ur Majesty is back!
Bow down to the rockstar royalties!
Feizal got the Guitar Heroes back! Empress Viv is in town! Princess Cerys is still here! Time to rock!
Too bad Prime Minister Roxy has to go ashore for work in England. And Emyr Mel the Don has some business in Kuala Lumpur. Or else, the whole band can reunite and rule the show! Oh well, today's gig has been splendid. Much work need to be done, thou. Our royal skills has been a little rusty as ruling the people taken us away from Guitar Heroes. In addition, our rockstar diet, which consist of Yo-yo Pearl Milky Tea and Cupcakes, were not complete.
Be patience, Your Highness will serve our royal performance before you know it.
I don't look my age.
My mom has some guests over to the house, along with Kak Sofia. They were talking about some products when I came to the living room with their drinks. Obviously, as the host, I'm obliged to serve and entertain them. That's when one of them asked loudly to my mom and me, "Ni yang paling kecik? Brapa sudah umur kau ni? Form 3 suda ka?" (She's the youngest? How old are you now? Form 3 -15 years old-?)
I let out a little laugh and told her the truth. I'm going to be 19 in less than a week. And I'm studying Diploma in Public Administration in UiTM Sabah. To tell you the truth, I'm ambivalent by this. It's actually a pretty common remarks on my looks. I know it myself that I look younger than my age. Most of the time, I even act younger than my age. Usually, when people point that out, I even exaggerate it a little more. But tonight, I'm not sure whether to feel flattered or offended by the comment.
I was acting at my best behavior. Serving drinks, making polite conversations. I didn't do anything remotely silly or that will point out the kid in me. Why do they still think I'm 15? 15 and 19 is 4 years differences! FOUR YEARS. 48 months. 192 weeks. 1461 days. 35064 hours. Gosh.
I may have to start wearing makeups for the opposite reason. I'm going to wear them to look mature. Yes. MATURE. Not old. If I want to look younger, I'll just go out barefaced. It'll take four years out of my age.
Parents
Don't it ever crossed your mind that they are the most annoying human being in your life, yet you can't help but to love them unconditionally anyway?
Well, I do. All the time! Especially toward my mom. Gosh, she gets into my skin every time, yet I still love her, and do whatever she said.
My mom, well, you can say that she's sort of a Nazi. The world revolves around her, and nothing else matter to her. You do what she says, OR ELSE! Yes, I have that kind of mom. My aunt always label her as the "big boss", I guess that's the polite way of saying it. That power that she holds and demands doesn't stop just in my family, it extend to her siblings and in her office. Well, maybe she's to do that in her workplace, as she is the senior executive there. Nevertheless, that doesn't excuse her from taking her work mode home. She need to learn to stop bossing people around! Have some limit, woman!
People always say, if you want someone to stop ordering you to do something, do it miserably. It doesn't work; it NEVER work. She still boss me around to do it, anyway. Even when I pull a face, throw tantrums, argue with her, everything that can cause me to be labeled as an insolent child. She still won't stop.
Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't want to help out my own mother. I do. She just need to put a line, so that I can live my own life. Yes, I need a life, that doesn't revolve around serving her every little needs. I don't mind driving her to places, or running some errands for her. But I need my day off too! I need a time away from this family too! She can't always expect me to drop everything I do, just to drive her to a shop that is 2 blocks away from the house. She can't expect me to walk away from whatever I planned with my friends, just because she need me to drive her somewhere, when I already told her in advance (1 week notice!) that I have plan and will not be able to be there for her. She need to do things on her own again, just like before I know how to drive or run errands. She need to let go of me. Or I will do it for her.
Thankfully, I have such an amazing group of friends. They know what my parents are like, and they don't hold it against me every time I walked out on them. I'm so grateful to have them in my life, that understand how my dysfunctional family works. However, no matter how tolerant they are to my behavior, I still feel guilty. I feel bad for not being able to be there for my friends when they need me the most, just because my parents don't understand the true meaning of friendship. Sometimes, I just want to do what Intan did in her teenage years, and be rebellious. But I can't, I don't have the guts to do it. I can't plot against them like she did. And I know my parents will be extremely disappointed in me if I do.
That doesn't stop me from planning it, thou. I plan for everything in my life. Everything from my daily life to my career path. So far, I'm always on track with my plans, apart from the occasional disrupt from my parents (but I do have backup plans for these things, so, no worries). Yes, I plan to be rebellious. How thoughtful. Intan's rebel by doing whatever crosses her mind on that exact moment, based on guts and instinct. And I plan my mischievous ways; how, when, why, where, who. That definitely shows that being sisters doesn't mean you'll have the same personality and thinking.
I will not spill any details about what my plans are, because that will be stupid. I will, however, put off that plan until I have enough of it. When that happens, you'll never see it coming. Of course, I'd warned Intan about this, she just hopes whatever I planned, whenever I decided to accomplish it, I won't screw up my life over it. And I will always keep in touch with her, even if its once a month or once a year. So, I promised her that.
I'm turning 19 this month. So, legally, I don't need my parents' or guardian's approval anymore. I'm responsible for my own life. My parents need to get around with that idea, and release me. They should learn from their mistakes. Or at least remember what it's like to be 19. They're lucky they have Intan to keep me sane and in place. So far, she's the reason why I'm still tolerating with their behavior. Maybe the reason doesn't sound right, since I should love my parents more than my sister. But at least it has done its deed.
I love you, but I just need to get away from you. Or else, I'll never achieve my full potential. You're just like a form of drug, the kind that boost you up when you take it in small portion; but kills you if you overdose. I won't let the latter to happens to me, at any cost.

Why
I have this blog for a while now. And I've always, ALWAYS, wonder what to share with the blogosphere. Where should I draw the line so that anything that I share with you will not be too much information and still respect my privacy. Do you know where's the fine line that make it okay to share?
Most of the time when I write, I'll get carried away with all my emotions and write everything that crosses my mind and heart. And after re-reading my post, I'll decide that its too much or too personal to share. So, they are never published, but remain as draft. I kept telling myself, I'll write a more brief version of it. But we all know, that won't happen as the emotions already fades.
How about the times there's something big (both exciting or bad) happens in our life, and we wanted to share it so much but there's no computer around. And by the time we got our hands on one, we doesn't feel like it anymore. The excitement has gone. Or we're just too gloomy to write it down. This is always my reason why there's often a long time period between my posts. It's not that I don't have anything remotely interesting to share with the readers. On contrary, I have a lot of things going in my life. Sometime, things are so hectic, that I don't even have time to write. (Which is why, I placed a Twitter in my blog, so you can read my status update.)
I know I won't be able to update my blog all the time. That's why there's a list of my friends' blog on the right column of my blog. They're my friends, obviously, our lives are connected to one another. If I don't update any of my sites, you can just check out theirs, and know that they'll somehow mention me. For instance, Nana's latest post will tell you that she and I had a H1N1 scare the other day. You may wonder why in the world am I not writing anything about it. Well, after knowing that you were that close to be infected by H1N1, would you think about sharing it to the world, or go to the clinic? Exactly.
So, don't be mad at me for not updating in a while. I will. Eventually. That's a promise.

The Beginning & The End
The long semester break is coming to an end. And despite what most people feel about ending holidays, I'm glad its over. I'm turning into a slob; lie on my bed most of the time. I became so lazy that I even find it difficult to go to the bathroom. I'm in serious need for activities, for both my brain and body.
In fact, I've been looking forward to go back to the campus so much that, I've organized my room and redecorate it. Which, comes to think of it, is a bad decision, as I'm reluctant to leave this room for my dorm room. And Dad didn't make things easier, by deciding to install air-conditioner in my room the day before my class start. Intan and I asked for it for years, and he turned us down. Now that none of his kids stay in the house, he decided to put up one in every room. EVERY. Including my brothers' room, which only be occupied when they're here for Raya.
I'm leaving my room, where it's MINE, with a TV,one three closet full of beautiful clothes, hi-fi stereo, comfy bed(bought last year), new a/c system, new decorations and new door paint (repainted by me!). For a dusty room in campus, I share with a roommate, an old bed, a desk, a small wooden closet, on the 4th floor of the highest block. It's not a fair trade, don't you think?
Enough about my accommodation. Let's talk about class. As you may know, I'm currently taking Diploma in Public Administration. Where we do learn about politics, government, economy & office management. The problem is, I was on holiday. And to me, holiday means holiday. Where I do not care about anything. My mind is free. Which is not good if you're taking the same course as I do. I should have keep up with the news and current issues. Because that's what we'll be discussing in class. With new prime minister and all, I don't even know what going on in the local political world, needless to say about the other nations. Darn, I will have to do a lot of research to maintain my grades. I can't risk failing.
So, what courses will I be taking this semester?
Darn, can anyone help me up to speed with the current issues? Please?

- CTU 151 - Islamic Civilization & Thinking
- BEL 260 - MUET Preparation Course
Darn, can anyone help me up to speed with the current issues? Please?
I nailed it at cooking, literally.
I finally found something from the events in my real life to share it with you. As usual, it has been ages since I last wrote anything concerning my life in my blog. Heck, I hardly write anything at all.
So, note on the title. Cooking. Yes, I do cook when I have to. Girls gotta eat, and sometimes eating out can get old. So, mum and I decided we are going to have spaghetti bolognese for dinner tonight.
Mum came home earlier than usual from work today, so we can start preparing the ingredient together. After everything done, Mom started cooking outside, at the wet kitchen, while I was still in the dry kitchen, chopping onions and cheese. So, mum left me in peace to chop the ingredients in small pieces. Well, until she suddenly appeared out of nowhere, surprising me with her booming voice.
Realizing I cut myself, I ran upstairs to my room immediately, trying to find a band-aid. I can't show my cut to mum, as she developed a phobia of blood. After rampaging through my recently tidied and organized room, I finally found the box of band-aid. I rip them off with my teeth (seriously!) and was about to cover my finger with one, when I realize that my whole arm is covered with thick red blood. My blood. From a cut on my finger. In only 10 minutes top, my blood flowed so much.
I hear my mum calling my name from downstairs, and I panicked. She CANNOT see these blood! I rushed to the bathroom, and washed out my blood. After my finger and arm are cleaned, I noticed that I didn't cut my finger, I cut my nail. I cut my nail in half, but not all the way through. Under the flowing water from the tap, I can see my nail dangling from my index finger. And let me assure you, it wasn't a pretty sight.
I wrapped the band-aid on my finger (with the dangling nail intact!) and went back downstair, pretending nothing was harmed. Well, not really. My brown fiber band-aid changed color into deep red, thanks to my still flowing blood. So, I rushed back up to change my band-aid. And repeated it a few times. After the fifth change, I lay on my bed, with my bleeding finger, trying to decide whether I should go to the doctor or not. I lay there for about 10 minutes, before I finally call Intan to ask for her advise. Obviously, she screamed in my ears, telling me to get myself to the hospital A.S.A.P..
So, I finally told mum, keeping my finger out of her sight. I nervously told her that I'm going to drive myself to the doctor, and I'm gonna take her purse along with me as I don't think I have time to go to the ATM. I can almost see the color flushed off my mum's face as I told her. She only managed to say okay, and reminded me to get the receipt.
I didn't make it to the doctor, thou. I only manage to sit in the car for a while, before I went back inside the house to change the band-aid, realizing the bleeding stopped. That's good news for me, I hate doctors.
Owh, I forgot to mention, the cut didn't hurt. I just feel slight pressure on my finger. And after the bleeding, of course my hand felt numb.
I attempted to cook my favorite food, and this is what happened. Darn. I'm such a klutz! I guess I got to find a man who knows how to cook. Yummy!

Yummy!
Reminiscing
A loud bang on the door shook me off my dreamless sleep and on to the floor this morning. Surprised and confused, not to mention pain as I fell on my back hard. Immediately after composing myself, I opened the door, wondering what was the emergency for anyone to knock on the door so hard, only to found Mummy standing on the other side with a mug of coffee in her hand, who merely said, "Hantar Mama pergi airport."
My reactions to that was; to rush off to the toilet to wash my face and brush my teeth; to change my clothes; to get the car ready; and to place my mum's luggage in the trunks. I forgotten that she's going to Johor today, and didn't know what time was her flight; so I got ready so swiftly, thinking she's going to be late to the airport thanks to me. If you ask me, I'd say I handle things pretty well, considering I just woke up. (My close friends would know that I'm a cranky person if I'm woken up from my sleep) However, I did almost drove off without my mom in the commotion. Fortunately, I realized that she wasn't in the passenger's seat nor downstairs of the house. I went to her room, and found her sitting on her bed, watching TV.
Anyway, half an hour or so, she was ready to leave the house. On the way to the airport, she saw an ad on the billboard for the "Smiling Fish" sardines. She let out a chuckle and I asked what's so funny. Obviously, I didn't notice the billboard. She said, "Smiling Fish" only instead of reading it in English (smile-ling), she pronounced it "smi-ling fis", just like how your read it in Malay. I laughed, because I know exactly what she was thinking. You see, my brother Z used to pronounce it that way when we're kids.
It didn't take much to bring back old memories. My mum suddenly remember all the word he used to pronounce wrongly. Z used to call our old BMW car "B-M-da-da-u". Ha-ha. He always liked that car. Still does, I assume. That's not all, he also pronounce biawak (lizard) as "bini-awak" (which means, your wife.) I wish I could list down all the words here. But that would be a long list, and I have to refer to my mum. Oh, and he's going to hate me for it.
Z has always been an adorable kid. Adorable chubby kid. And a sweet brother. When we were younger, he was my closest siblings. (Intan was in her rebellious teenage phase) We always play together, and he always back me up. I assume he likes being the big brother, the sense of power to protect his baby sister. I still remember that one day, he refused to go to the kindergarden, because I will not have anyone to play with at home. Isn't it adorable? As a result, I followed my parents to send him to kindergarden everyday.
My mum and I had breakfast at the Asian Delight Cafe in Terminal 2. There we talked about our old memories; the hyperactive tomboy-glamour Intan; the preserved silent geeky N; the chubby cheeky Z; and me, of course, the curly haired shy girl who hid behind Mummy and frown every time anyone wants to get near her. We're a handful bunch of kids, all right. Intan alone is hard to handle.
Gosh, I miss being kids. And I miss my siblings. We may not be tight and keep in touch often, but we care about each other. Or at least I do. I can't wait to go to Kuala Lumpur and have our usual arguments.
